Transferring files to your website (FTP)
To transfer files to your website, you will need an FTP program. Some of the most commonly used FTP programs are:
- SmartFTP
- CoreFTP
- WS_FTP
- FileZilla
After installing your FTP program, start a new connection. The FTP host/server will be "ftp.hande.net.au". The username and password will be the same username and password for your Internet connection. After connecting, you will see a list of the files and folders on your site. Most FTP programs allow you to drag and drop files in order to transfer them to the website.
You can see your live website by browsing to http://home.hande.net.au/username/. Username is the same username that you used to FTP, minus the domain (eg. myinternet@hande.net.au to connect to FTP, then the site will be at http://home.hande.net.au/myinternet/). You can view this information by logging into your Members Area, clicking My Service Details, then Manage, then Print My Settings.
